close it, switch to my admin user account, and then update the software. from within Topaz App, I get the macOS prompt to authenticate with my admin user name and password, and somewhere in the download and install process I get a corruption error for the original installation (I think). If I try to update Topaz Studio 3, Sharpen AI, Denoise AI, etc. In my case, I normally run my iMac from a normal (non administrator) account. I am not sure if you are seeing the corruption error for the downloaded file or with the attempted upgrade. If you don't like a negative view I suggest you skip my posts.

Me? I'm waiting until the software is user friendly. So the message to the OP is to either take a step back until Topaz gets the bugs sorted or ride along bugs and all until it is working. The simple fact that I'm trying to point out to the OP is that Topaz routinely releases software that isn't ready for the market. I point out a fact and you get all defensive with a personal attack that doesn't help anyone. This is how discussions go when someone is blinded by there own opinions. Good to know, but your opinion on the matter adds zero value to solving the OP's issue. If that's not your thing nothing wrong with that, but you really don't need to repeat your critique like a broken record every time there is a TS2 thread.įor the time being I'll be sticking with Studio. This may take a while and Mac users seem to have more issues than Windows users. If judged by the activity on the FB and forum pages there are probably hundreds, if not substantially more, users actively using the product while it matures. On the flip-side they have released updates on a weekly, and sometimes daily, basis (a new one last night along with new bugs). Features may be on the way but releasing it as a bare bones tool isn't what I would call smart marketing. Has more problems IMHO and seems a very limited piece of software at the moment.
